Our teachers have a deep understanding of the students entrusted to their care. They recognize their strengths as well as their fragility. They demonstrate care and respect for their students by building genuine connections.
Our 6th through 8th grade students are challenged with high academic expectations. Students in middle school receive 120 minutes of language arts and 60 minutes of math instruction each day. They also receive 60 minutes of science and social studies instruction each day that integrates weekly targets in math and writing.
Offerings for electives include String Orchestra, Art, PE (required), Math Adventure, Spanish I and II, Study Skills and Creative Writing.
Extra-curricular activities include Student Council, National Junior Honor Society, interscholastic athletics, Math Club, Science Club, Lego League, Art Club and class trips.
The staff and administration realize the importance of helping students prepare for high school and college opportunity. Representatives from the public and private high schools in the area conduct an information night to assist 8th graders and their parents in planning for their futures.
